I just came from the workshop with Adam in Vancouver, today, April 30 2005. It was a great experience for me on a personal level. I got to meet him and both his parents. I was impressed by their sincerity and friendliness, and true warmth and kindness. I got to look into Adam's eyes and shake his hand. He is totally genuine, I believe. I'm a family doctor, and I have seen and spoken to thousands of people intimately; In other words, I think I have reason to believe that I've become pretty good at "reading people", given the inherent limitations of such relatively brief encounters. Anyhow, I think Adam and his family are the real deal, and they are truly motivated by helping others through Adam's gift. When I shook his hand, I could feel a jolt of powerful, healthy energy coming from him to me. I was surprised by this, because I hadn't expected anything like that, as I was only there to drop off my mom and to say thank-you to Adam for treating her. So to feel that jolt of energy was a real bonus. Somehow I "felt" the energy of his arm all the way up to his shoulder, as if he was an extension of me. Sound weird? Well, it was. It never happened to me before. There was absolutely no deception in his eyes or guardedness. Just a solid, quiet kind of confidence in himself, and a no-bullshit type of concern for others. Like "Tell me how I can help you if you have a real problem but don't whine about something imaginary just to get some attention". There are lots more impressions I had about him, especially after the workshop today, but there's no time for all. Suffice it to say that I came away with a valuable experience, and I am planning on putting his advice into daily practice from now on, for my own benefit and that of my patients.
